Aborted in the Womb
Blood of the innocent...
Below is a recent stance that an individual took on abortion. After reading, I felt it necessary to post this, and respond, such that you are all armed for the debate when it inevitably occurs in your life.
Pro-abortion Activist:

LIFE BEGINS AT CONCEPTION?
Yes PRE-SENTIENT LIFE begins at conception. PRE-SENTIIENT life is any life that is NOT SENTIENT. A FETUS is NOT aware of itself. On the other hand, a chicken is SENTIENT because a Chicken actually makes primitive decisions.
Most of you eat chickens.
My response:
First, the word “fetus” is meant to dehumanize what is actually a baby that is still in the womb. Using terminology like “fetus” allows a person to distance themselves from the truth, and therefore, places them in a more comfortable situation to discuss something as serious as killing a baby. At some point in time, every human was a “fetus.” This language is only necessary for one purpose: helping a lie take root. Further, an unborn baby makes decisions in the womb…he/she can turn and kick and roll. He/she responses to acoustic stimulus on ultrasound, and without intervention, will progress naturally until born. Therefore, the act of stopping this development is unnatural.
Lastly, eating chickens has nothing to do with abortion, and neither do chickens, in general.

Christians argue that the bible says: "Abortion is Murder." That’s not true. The claim is based upon CHERRY PICKED, deliberately misrepresented interpretations of bible verses. Nevertheless, the bible UNEQUIVOCABLY says that "unborn babies" are NOT capable of knowing right from wrong. Bible also says that “god” regretted making humans, so he sent a flood to wipe them out. Everyone NOT on the ark drowned, including pregnant women and the “unborn baby” she carried.
So Christian, are you seriously insisting that “abortion is murder” even though the bible UNEQUIVOCABLY says that “god” deliberately DROWNED every “unborn baby” on earth? Isn’t your definition of “abortion” the “killing of unborn babies?” Oh! I see: “god” didn’t murder the “unborn babies “because “god” is “god” and “god” can do anything s/he wants because … “god” is “god” … and “god” can do whatever “god” wants to … because “god” is “god”. So if a police officer committed a premeditated murder in order to solve another crime, that’s ok?

The Bible speaks quite clearly on the infant in utero:
Psalm 139:13-16 ~ For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
Jeremiah 1:5 ~ "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."
This clearly points out that before you were even egg and sperm, God knew you. This alone is evidence that from conception, you have value to the Lord. The Lord hates the shedding of innocent blood, which is exactly what abortion is, shedding the blood of the unborn that has not yet even had the chance to sin.
Proverbs 6:16-19 ~ There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
Now, in Genesis 6, verses 6 and 7, it states that because God saw the wickedness of man, given how man chose to exact his free will, the Lord was grieved, and decided to blot them out. At this point in time, all He wiped out were wicked, and only those with righteousness survived with Noah on the ark.
Nowhere does it state he drowned unborn babies, and you cannot assume on this. Further, God cannot be judged by man, just as a criminal cannot sentence a justice at a hearing. Fortunately, our Creator is not fallible like us. I understand this is a difficult concept to gather, as it goes against our very nature, which is to idolize ourselves to the point of knowing better than anyone or anything, but this is ill advised. Not only is there always someone smarter on the Earth, but there is also always God in Heaven, above all. Pride goes before the fall. Also, be wise not to call those who have knowledge a fool:
Proverbs 18:2
A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.
You continue to express your opinion arrogantly. I am simply showing you the truth. Regardless of your beliefs, hyperbole and histrionic speech is useless in debate.

DEMOCRATS BELIEVE ABORTION SHOULD BE LEGAL TO TIME OF BIRTH.
WHAT KIND OF IMBECILE would suggest that it is OK to perform an abortion on a strong, normal, healthy, SENTIENT unborn baby? What kind of STUPID would believe any RATIONAL person says that is OK? MIND BOGGLING STUPIDITY!
A fetus becomes a SENTIENT BABY at about 24 weeks. It is NOT LEGAL IN ANY STATE to abort a SENTIENT, HEALTHY UNBORN BABY. Now, if a fetus DIES inside her womb AFTER 24 weeks, are you suggesting that she should wait until for NINTH MONTH to remove the fetus from her body?
Removing a DEAD FETUS from a woman’s womb IS NOT a FUCKING ABORTION! It is SURGERY! What the HELL happened to your critical thinking ability if you don’t understand the difference?
IF ANYONE says that they are in favor of aborting a HEALTHY, SENTIENT unborn baby, that person is a FUCKING KOOK: a KOOK much like the MAGA/QAnon KOOKS that claimed Jews fired a laser from space to start wildfires in California.
“LATE TERM ABORTIONS” are NOT used anywhere in the USA to abort a healthy, normal, sentient unborn baby. ARE YOU FUCKING STUPID?
My response:
Indeed, this is the belief of many democrats and liberals. One cannot measure sentience in an unborn baby, directly. This is what makes it an easy target for argument. However, the brain begins developing upon conception, as the neuro plate and tube form until they close at approximately 6 weeks of gestation. This is why a pregnant woman must take folate, due to rapid cellular proliferation and brain growth. Without adequate folate in the first several weeks, there is neurological damage such as spina bifida and other neural tube defects. Now, regardless, by six weeks there is a separated brain, and nerves, and nervous function. This includes possibility of pain, sensation, etc. This is six weeks of development. As a neuroscientist, I assure you that this means neurodevelopment is well under way. Don’t take my word for it, though. Multiple, comprehensive reviews of the scientific literature, including neural development and psychology of pain sensation conclude that unborn babies experience pain as early as 12 weeks. There is also the understanding that pain is a very subjective experience in terms of level of pain. One review points out that an unborn child may not experience pain in the same way as an adult, but does indeed experience pain as a real sensation, and that this pain experience has moral implications. This can be found at Lozier Institute. I will also remind you that nociceptors (pain receptors) begin forming at 7 weeks gestation.
Further, unfortunately, the laws allow for abortion up to and during delivery if, and I quote, “a woman’s health or life is at risk.” This is directly from the Reproductive Act of 2019. It states abortion is legal throughout pregnancy. Now, you may argue that this cannot be misused given the language of “health or life at risk.” I argue the opposite. Just getting pregnant has health and life risk implications. As a physician, I can argue the many ways materal life is at risk just by carrying a child to term. Increased blood clots due to increased coagulability, increased risk of hypertension and heart failure due to increased blood volume, increased risk of hemorrhage due to childbirth, the list goes on forever. These are risks one takes on when one decides to get pregnant. However, we know that many people use abortion as birth control, when the most effective form of birth control is simply not having sex. There are many reasons, both practical and moral, that people have for waiting until marriage to have sex. Unplanned pregnancy and subsequent abortion rank high on the list.
Last, personal attacks are generally seen when one cannot argue a position and must revert to childish tactics. Further, as an Infantry veteran, I assure you that you have no idea what kind of weapons we have, neither do I. Now, I have no idea about “Jews” firing “lasers” at California, this is the first I’ve heard of that, but perhaps you could stay on topic and not get sidetracked as this is unrelated to our conversation.

I honestly don’t give a rat’s ass if you think I am going to hell. I was forced to attend church as a child. There is nothing you can tell me that I haven't heard ... I really don't care if you need religion. That's your business.
My response:
If you continue to advocate for the murder of unborn children, it is my responsibility as a human being, a physician, and a Christian to attempt to give you information that will help you change your mind. I have given you scientific facts, Scriptural truths, and personal experiences with logical reasoning. I did not initiate this conversation, but I am ending it. God bless.
